How did Rebend Industries start?

Rebend Industries was founded in 2020 by two Australian plumbers who specialise in installing Drainage in Australia’s challenging soil conditions. Realising that the fittings being used for drainage installation on both sewer and stormwater were failing due to high stress loads with ground movement, they started developing their own brand of fittings with increased wall thickness, reinforced ribbing and stabilising plates.

Another key reason for this design was to replace the need for concrete supports under vertical sewer rises which is a mandatory rule according to the AS/NZS 3500.2 plumbing codes. Due to high ground movement the concrete support was separating away from the fittings leaving them vulnerable to breaking. The team from Rebend Industries knew their innovative fittings would be the perfect solution to this problem!

After getting these fittings drawn up and patented, they decided to approach one of Australia’s leading pipe and fitting manufactures. After pitching their idea the company decided to take it on. This range of improved drainage fittings are set to hit the Australian market at the start of 2024!

The Constricta!

The Constricta multi pot grip was born out of pure frustration! When a plumber joins PVC pipes and fittings they must use a primer and a glue. As these two come in separate pots plumbers normally duct tape them together to make it easier to carry and work with. One day after watching the apprentices glue pot fall apart after the primer had eaten away at the duct tape, the two tradesman from Rebend industries started brain storming ideas for a glue pot holder. It had to hold the glue and primer, adjust to securely fit all the different sized pots ranging from Australian to American glues and primers, hang off things to make it easier for elevated work, to store and also have excellent chemical resistance. The team got to work and a year later The Constricta multi pot grip hit the market!

Rebend Industries hopes to keep developing and producing products that make not only plumbers and drainers life’s easier and safer, but all tradespeople.
